Ingredients
- Hot Dog Buns
- Your Favorite Hot Dogs
- Honey Mustard
- Ruffle chips
- 1 Yellow Onion julienned
- Monterey Jack shredded
Chili
- 1.25 lb. ground beef
- 1 tbsp. chili powder
- ½ tbsp salt
- ½ tbsp black pepper
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 2 tsp. cumin
- ½ tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 can Fire Roasted Rotel
- 1 can 8oz. Tomato Sauce
- 1 tsp. Sugar
- ⅓ cup water
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- In a large pot or dutch oven brown ground beef. Drain and add pack to pot then Add seasonings, sugar, worcestershire water, and rotel. Bring to a boil. Stir in ketchup and tomato sauce, reduce heat to medium-low, cover and let simmer for 15 minutes.
- While chili simmers, butterfly hot dogs and sear meat side down on high heat and flip once charred. Cook on the other side for about 3 minutes. Add onions to the same oiled skillet on medium heat. Saute for 10 minutes until caramelized.
- Build a Hot Dog in order of bun, hot dog, mustard, onions, chili, cheese, and crushed ruffle chips.
