Cajun Crab Jalapeno Dip

The easiest recipe with a kick. Perfect for a party of 2 or 10.

Ingredients

  • 10 slices Thick Cut Bacon
  • 1 8oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 Jalapenos small diced
  • 1 1/2 cups Mild Cheddar shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack shredded
  • 1 cup Crab Claw Meat
  • 1/2 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 tbsp Fresh Dried Parsley
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Powder
  • 1/2 cup Parsley finely choppes

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F, place bacon on lined sheet tray and bake for 25 minutes or until done (You want nice and done, can be crispy but not too crispy)
  • In a stand mixer, mix cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, jalapenos, ¾ cup of cheddar, ¾ cup Monterey, and seasonings until well combined and smooth
  • Chop cooked bacon into small pieces, reduce oven heat to 350 degrees F
  • Fold crab meat and 3/4th bacon pieces into cheese mixture by hand until evenly distributed
  • Grease cast iron skillet or baking dish and dump in uncooked dip mixture being sure to evenly spread out. Top with remaining shredded cheese, bacon, then parsley
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly and golden. Enjoy with chips or toasted baguette slices!
