Founded in 2020, Hungry Mockingbird Productions was created by college student Taelor Rankin. Her goal was to educate, entertain, and have fun while sharing her love of food with anyone wanting to foster their own relationship with enjoying cooking.
Taelor is a dedicated Culinary Entertainer with over 10 years of experience in the kitchen. When she started her career she dedicated almost all of her days competing in culinary and baking competitions, training and honing in on her craft. Today, Taelor is a private chef and content creator with a passion for creating the most rib-sticking and delicious comfort food delights.
Her food influences stem from modern American and Creole cuisine, creating an exploding flavor experience.

Taelor's late PawPaw, Johnnie Rankin, suggested the name 'Purple Mockingbird' and described that when he would see a Mockingbird singing near his porch, it reminded him of Taelor's late Grandmother, Agnes Rankin. Taelor then changed 'Purple' to 'Hungry' and made the brand's colors various shades of purple as purple is also the ribbon color for pancreatic cancer, which her grandfather sadly passed from.
